Three words describe the Worship Celebration at Grace Christian Church ...

Exaltation

We believe that Jesus is alive and that our faith in Him has set us free from sin and death. Therefore, we gather to exalt Jesus and to celebrate what He has done in our lives. We use some of the older hymns that you may recognize, but we also include many contemporary Christian music selections to express the Christ message and life to our generation in a way that we can more easily relate to. It’s ok if you don’t know the new songs, just focus on their meaning and soon you will be singing along. As you exalt Jesus in song you will experience His presence in a new and living way!

Edification

Several biblical texts teach that when the New Testament church gathered on Sunday the aim was for believers to be edified (built up) in their faith as the Bible was taught and applied. Therefore, at Grace Christian Church we are committed to what is commonly referred to as expository preaching. In this style of preaching a portion of the Bible is interpreted. The main concept and the subordinate ideas that support the main concept are unfolded before your eyes. In addition, the difficult grammar and the far off cultural and historical factors are explained. Expository preaching is not teaching about the Bible, but is instruction from the Bible. Most importantly, the sermons move beyond academic explication to real life application. Under this type of biblical instruction not only will you be equipped to live an abundant Christian life, but your faith will also soar as you come to understand that the Bible really does makes sense!

Integration

The principle of synergism teaches that the whole is greater than the parts. We have found this to be true in the planning of our worship celebration. At Grace Christian Church, the primary theme of the sermon is integrated with music and all other components of the service. This approach adds depth to the entire celebration by making all parts interrelated and interdependent, creating an atmosphere in which exaltation and edification reinforce each other, and your worship experience is more profitable and enriching.
